ScanCraft Pro is designed with an offline-first and privacy-first philosophy.

• No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell personal information such as your name, email address, physical location, phone number, or device identifiers.
• No Account Registration: You do not need to create an account or provide any login credentials to use the application.

2. Device Permissions & Why We Need Them

To perform its core utility features, the application requests standard Android permissions:

A. Camera (android.permission.CAMERA)

Purpose: Used exclusively to scan QR codes and barcodes in real-time through your device's camera.

Privacy Guarantee: Camera frames are analyzed locally in device memory at runtime to decode QR codes and barcodes. Camera feeds and video streams are never recorded, stored, or transmitted to any external server.

B. Flashlight (android.permission.FLASHLIGHT)

Purpose: Allows you to turn on your device's torch/flashlight to illuminate QR codes or barcodes in low-light environments.

C. Vibration (android.permission.VIBRATE)

Purpose: Provides physical haptic feedback (a brief vibration) upon a successful QR or barcode scan.

3. Photos, Gallery & Media Access

• Scanning from Gallery: When you choose to scan a QR code from an image or screenshot, the app utilizes Android's official system Photo Picker. The app only accesses the specific image you voluntarily select.
• Saving Generated QR Images: When you generate a custom QR code and export it as PNG or SVG, the app uses standard Android storage or the system share sheet to save the image. We do not access or read your photo library.

4. Scan History & Data Storage

All scanned results (such as WiFi configurations, text, URLs, and contacts) and application settings are stored strictly on your local device storage. You can delete individual scans or clear your entire history at any time using the in-app "Clear History" button.

5. Third-Party Services & Analytics

ScanCraft Pro does not include any third-party tracking, profiling SDKs, advertising networks, or user behavior analytics tools. Your scanning activity remains entirely private to you.

6. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Our application does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected from any user, our application is safe for general audiences.

7. Security

We prioritize the security of your data by processing all scanning, parsing, and custom QR generation operations locally on your device hardware. Because no user data is sent over the Internet, there is zero risk of remote data interception or server-side leaks.
